Paintings Mostly of Maine, Florida and Asia

Artists often start right out early in life to draw and paint and they never leave their chosen paths.  Some, like American folk-artist Anna Mary Robertson “Grandma” Moses, who only became a serious painter at age 78, begin and complete successful art careers in spite of what appears as no obvious early foundation.  Still others, who for a host of reasons, change direction in mid-stream for other compelling careers, will ultimately still  find themselves drawn back into the fold of artistic creativity.  While it may be that the ultimate talent of an artist is born out of a lifetime of work, the techniques, styles and materials one uses may be as fresh and new as the day one paints.  Experience comes from many resources and, particularly, it comes best from living life.   How one feels about the subject painted is important to how one drafts the visual outcome.

Wil Yegge drew and painted and experimented artistically in various media every available minute during his early years.  He built model airplanes, built model ships, carved in wood and chiseled in stone.  Coming from a poor but righteous South Dakota family, he also built most of his childhood toys.  As an outcrop of military conflict, the medical field chose him for a career.  He retired in 1999 and returned to his world of art shortly thereafter.  It’s good to be home again.
